The sandy beach at Nerja is less than 20 minutes by car and the Balcon de Europa is a promenade and famous sunset viewpoint. Nerja has supermarkets, shops, nightlife, a museum and famous cave system nearby. The ancient city of Granada with its Alhambra complex (75 minutes away) is a must-see (book ahead). Málaga city and airport are 51 minutes away.
